Charity Car Wash By 8T

On Wednesday the   26^th June  my tutor group 8T completed our first charity carwash.

During our PSHE lessons we were asked to research, discuss and decided on a charity we would like to promote and raise money for. As a class we chose to raise money for The Children’s society. “Right now in Britain there are children and young people who feel scared, unloved and unable to cope. The Children’s Society works with these young people, step by step, for as long as it takes. We listen. We support. We act.”

On the day of the carwash, we had several teams working hard to get the job done. One team were in charge of washing, another dried, some students collected money from around the school from students and teachers and I, along with a friend took photos (and wrote this report) for the website.

We had plenty of cars to keep us busy and the whole of 8T worked really hard to get them finished in time. We are so proud to say that we raised £70

We enjoyed the experience and feel we reached our goal, thank you to Mrs Dyson for supporting us in achieving this.
