New financial support - Local Household Support Vouchers - July-September 2022

We are pleased to continue to support families via the government’s additional household support scheme.

Barnet local authority have funded a new set of vouchers to support households, particularly for financial hardship around the cost of food and energy.  This additional support effectively substitutes the provision of free school meals over the summer period as FSM does not apply out of term time. We pass on what we receive when the government sends Barnet LA funds to distribute to schools.  These vouchers were processed and sent automatically using the contact details we hold on the school system for eligible families – you do not need to contact us but please check your email and junk folders just in case.

The funding is provided to cover food and household bills: families first select a supermarket/retailer and then receive the voucher by email and/or SMS. We remind you of the funding conditions: “Vouchers must not be used for age-restricted items, such as alcohol, cigarettes or lottery tickets.”

Any questions can be submitted to your daughter’s Director of Learning, Pastoral administrator or enquiries@copthall.barnet.sch.uk including your daughter’s full name, year and form class.

Some previous vouchers issued are yet to be claimed or collected. Please check your email or contact enquiries@copthall.barnet.sch.uk.

Parentpay

Particularly important before the summer break, please top up your ParentPay balance to clear any debt. We are a cashless school so ParentPay is the only way to pay.  If you need assistance with your ParentPay account, please contact your daughter’s Director of Learning or email enquiries@copthall.barnet.sch.uk including your daughter’s full name, year and form class with your query. If your negative balance is under £5 we will accept cash brought to school reception (or on exam results day) in an envelope with the student name and form class.

Free School Meals

We understand that changes of circumstances or employment do occur: families who believe they may be eligible are strongly encouraged to apply for Free School Meals by completing the form on our website: www.copthallschool.org.uk/255/free-school-meals.  Copthall receives funding for each eligible pupil so this makes a real difference to us all.
