History theatre trip to ‘Six’

Copthall Students in years 9 and 10 had a fantastic time seeing ‘Six', the Musical’ at the Vaudeville Theatre in London.  The ‘six’ are the six wives of Henry VIII who each take the mic to tell their tales, remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into an 80 minute celebration of 21st century girl power.

Students reported back that it was ‘fantastic’, ‘engaging’, ‘surprising’ and ‘enjoyable’.  While ‘Six’ plays with history it is also packed with historical knowledge and students commented that it added to their understanding of the Reformation, which we study at GCSE.
