Aspirational visit from Natasha StewartPosted on: 10/12/2019
Today, Natasha Stewart, a Scottish solo artist going under the moniker "ThisisNamaste", who has performed as a backing singer for Rita Ora & Ella Eyre, visited Year 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13 to talk about Careers, Aspirations and mental health.
Natasha is a University graduate and has had her own struggles with mental health. She discussed the importance of working hard at school, why education is so important, how it impacts later life and the options pupils have after school as well as discussing her own personal stories and achievements. This was also linked to discussing mental health issues, who to ask for help and how to do it, and the importance of speaking up, discussing how to talk about emotions accurately and sensitively.
Students also took part in a Q&A session and were lucky enough to have the chance to watch the solo artist perform a couple of her songs.
