Applications are invited from a dynamic, enthusiastic and student focused practitioner to lead our vibrant and committed Sociology Curriculum area for a period of maternity cover.

Sociology is a popular subject at Copthall, attracting students of all abilities. The school is committed to supporting the subject to grow and develop both in the classroom and through the school’s wider enrichment offer. 

The successful candidate will be a well-qualified and highly motivated Sociology specialist who is a strong team player and whose passion for Sociology and social sciences will inspire and engage our students. As a school we strive to deliver and broad and diverse curriculum.

The successful candidate will have experience with curriculum development, a clear understanding of national statutory expectations surrounding the content of Sociology in school and the ability to lead and grow the curriculum.
