SEND Football Festival

On Thursday 19th March, a group of 10 students from Years 7–10 attended a SEND Football Festival, where they demonstrated excellent enthusiasm, teamwork, and a willingness to develop their skills. Throughout the event, all students fully embraced the range of skill-based stations, showing both potential and growing confidence in their football ability.

The first station focused on dribbling, where students worked on control and speed. Sakeenah stood out in this activity, showcasing exceptional ball control which helped her team secure a strong lead in the team race.

At the slalom dribbling station, students developed their ability to keep the ball close to their body while navigating tight turns. This activity supported improved coordination and control, with clear progress visible as the session went on.

The dribbling, passing, and shooting station encouraged teamwork and communication. Students practised passing through a gate to a teammate before progressing the ball forward, reinforcing accuracy and decision making in game like situations.

Finally, in the shooting station, students worked on target practice to earn points for their teams. This activity helped develop both technique and composure in front of goal, with many students showing increasing confidence and success as they refined their shooting skills.

Overall, the group represented the school exceptionally well. Their positive attitude, effort, and engagement throughout the festival made it a highly successful and enjoyable experience for all involved.
