Sports Leaders - LYGs Boccia Event

We are incredibly proud of our Sports Leaders, who represented our school on Thursday 26th February at the London Youth Games supporting the Boccia competition.

Our students demonstrated outstanding professionalism, confidence, and leadership throughout the event whilst officiating matches, supporting athletes and ensuring the competition ran smoothly. Their commitment and enthusiasm did not go unnoticed, with event organisers recognising them as one of the best groups of Sports Leaders the London Youth Games have worked with.

A particular highlight was having the honour of umpiring the Barnet Team, including students from Maple Down School, the SEND provision based on site. It was a fantastic opportunity for our leaders to support inclusive sport at the highest standard and showcase the values of teamwork, respect, and excellence.

We are immensely proud of the maturity, empathy, and skill they demonstrated. They are true ambassadors for our school and for youth sport in London.
