Year 10 Dutch War Grave Trip to Mill Hill Cemetery

On Friday 12 September 2025, a group of Year 10 History students attended a commemorative service for Dutch soldiers buried in Mill Hill Cemetery. Students listened to very informative talks from staff of Commonwealth War Graves before laying flowers (funded by the Dutch Embassy) on each of the graves. From these talks, students were able to gain an insight into the individual lives of some of the soldiers. Copthall School students played a key role in the event, with two of our students raising and lowering the flags of the Netherlands and UK.
