Message from the Head Girl 2021-2022

Copthall June 2021 5825 xz (1) editedHaving been at Copthall for the last seven years, I have been able to grow immensely as an individual, allowing me to become who I am today. As Head Girl, I work alongside the Student Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team to represent the school values Respect, Equality for all, Support & Safety, Aspiration, Responsibility throughout all the work we do.

At Copthall, students are encouraged and supported by their peers, teachers and the School giving them the chance to achieve their full potential. I have been able to access so many amazing opportunities such as becoming a STEM scholar, being part of the Student Senate, running 5k with the PE department and completing the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. This is only a small selection of what is available at Copthall and I believe that I would not have been able to take part and gain as much as I have if I were not a student here.

There is a broad subject range provided at GCSE and A-level, allowing students to develop and widen their knowledge in many areas, providing them with a stepping stone to their future aspirations and opening doors to other routes which they may have not explored.

Alongside gaining subject knowledge we are able to learn additional skills throughout focused sessions in form, extra-curricular activities and PSHE lessons. Programmes such as Oxbridge, Career Ready and many various work experiences are promoted and available at Copthall for everyone to take part in and benefit from.

As Head Girl, I hope to be an inspirational role model, an advocate for Student Voice and made positive changes within the School and community. I aspire to leave a message that conveys my journey at Copthall so this can inspire others to overcome any barriers that they may face and become the best version of themselves.

It is so important to have a place where you can rely on people to have your best interests at heart and I can genuinely say that this is something Copthall succeeds in.
