Wings of Hope Achievement Award (WOHAA)
Posted on: 01/07/2025Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to accompany five Year 10 students from Copthall School to the prestigious House of Lords in Westminster, London. The students were invited to present their inspiring journey as part of the Wings of Hope Achievement Award (WOHAA), a national competition that encourages students to make a difference through fundraising and global citizenship.
Our students shared how they raised money to support children in Malawi and Chennai through a series of creative initiatives, including a bake sale, all while documenting their journey in a beautifully crafted scrapbook. Their presentation and dedication impressed the judges, and we’re thrilled to announce that they are now finalists in the competition!
This is a tremendous achievement, not only for the students but for Copthall School as a whole. The girls have competed with schools from across the country, and if they win, they’ll earn the life-changing opportunity to visit children in India.
We’re incredibly proud of their hard work, passion, and commitment to making a difference. We’ll keep you updated on the outcome of the finals.
