Copthall School Careers Fair 4 October 2019

Posted on: 31/10/2019

Year 7-11 had an opportunity to hear about careers from various speakers including TfL (Engineer), UCLH (Paediatrician), Hogan Lovells (Solicitor), Ecoworld (HR, Technical Coordinator), Natixis (Asset Management).  All students also had access to many university and apprenticeship stalls, charities providing volunteering opportunities and NHS careers stalls during lunch time.

Feedback from students:

  • I think this careers day has been very interesting.  I have now learnt about an amazingly long line of jobs that have caught my attention and I’m even thinking about a different better choice for my career.  It is fun learning about grown up jobs because it really inspires me and it makes me work that much harder to achieve my dreams.  Now I am aware of a range of jobs awaiting for me.  It will be a very laborious decision but from all the inspiration, I know that I will pick the right choice. (7T)
  • I liked the fact that we could ask question from the professionals and got to know more about universities and different pathways we can take (10P)
  • Informative and helped give a sense of direction for future careers such as medicine (11P)
  • It was useful to see people’s journeys to their careers and made me think more about what I want to do. (8C)
  • There are other pathways if you do not get what you want (9L)
  • They informed me on all the vital information i needed when applying to university, what grades i needed and other helpful resources (VIT)
