GCE

A-Level Results

Acting Headteacher Jane Smallwood is proud to announce further improvement on our A Level results of which 17% of grades were  A* - A., an improvement of 6% on last year; 44% of grades were A* - B, an improvement of  13% and overall 79% achieved A* - C, an improvement of 18% on the 2015 results. At AS level we have continued to strengthen our results with 58% of the cohort achieving A – C grades.  Great success has also been achieved by students following industry standard courses with a 100% pass rate.  These results reflect Ofsted’s judgement of Copthall School Sixth form being good and provide the new Headteacher Evelyn Forde with a firm foundation to work on.

Ami Patel, Head of 6th Form says

‘We have once again enjoyed scenes of elation and happiness as students received their results. Their hard work and commitment has paid off and the vast majority of the students have gained places at their first choice university including 21% of the cohort moving on to Russell Group Universities.'

We would like to acknowledge all staff, parents and governors who have supported the students to achieve this success.
