Pupil Premium Grant
Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) 2015-16
In 2014 there was national gap of 27% between students from disadvantaged backgrounds and their peers gaining 5+ A*- C GCSE grades including English and Maths.
The government has identified "disadvantaged pupils” as those who have received free school meals at some point in the past six years. The Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) of £373,984 was allocated to Copthall school in 2015-2016 in order to help close the gap between the disadvantaged students and their peers.
From September 2016 we will be following a new Pupil Premium Policy that sets out principles for allocating spending and the whole school approach towards raising attainment and accelerating the progress of Pupil Premium students. This policy will be published shortly.
