Pupil Premium Grant
Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) 2016-17
In 2014 there was national gap of 27% between students from disadvantaged backgrounds and their peers gaining 5+ A*- C GCSE grades including English and Maths.
The government has identified "disadvantaged pupils” as those who have received free school meals at some point in the past six years. The Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) of £359,957 was allocated to Copthall school in 2016-2017 in order to help close the gap between the disadvantaged students and their peers.
From September 2017 we are following a new Pupil Premium strategy that sets out principles for allocating spending and the whole school approach towards raising attainment and accelerating the progress of Pupil Premium students.
