Winners of the Black History Month Art Competition

Posted on: 07/11/2018

This year’s Black History Month competition has seem many high quality entries across Y7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. The work has conveyed some important messages as well as demonstrating artistic merit. It has been good to see so many students from the GCSE Art course putting some time into this competition on top of their coursework. It has enabled them to develop new skills and techniques which will enrich their coursework too. Winners will benefit from receiving prizes of Art equipment and materials to enable them to further develop their talents. I look forward to seeing an even greater number of entries into future competitions which will include a Christmas card design coming up in a few weeks and an international womens’ day portrait competition to coincide with the annual school celebration of this event.

Congratulations to Farhana Y7, Wassila Y8, Kawthar Y9, Sara Y10, Safia Y11 for winning 1st Prize in the Black History Month Art Competition.
