What does aspiration mean to you? Year 12 tell us what it means to them...

Posted on: 23/01/2018

Aspiration means to have an ambition, goal, motive, a destination. We all have aspirations which we endeavour and strive for, but there will always be obstacles which mean we cannot get to the goals we wish for in an easy way.  Eleanor Roosevelt said that "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams,” and the simple act of believing ourselves, knowing that only we ourselves are the reasons we enable or prevent those dreams to come true. We dream to give us a purpose, reasons to wake up every morning to fulfil everything we wish to do. We may not succeed at first, but giving up will never be an option.

Starting year 12, we had very different experiences during the months leading up to 24th August and the things that came and are coming after it. We cannot give up or become complacent with ourselves, but continue to remember all we live for and what we wish to live for and what we will live for and to make the right changes to allow us to get what we need.

Be it a career, money, family, happiness or whatever motivates you, find it and hold on to it and never let go.  Because now’s the chance to make our dreams into realities.
