Black History month Art competition results 2017

Posted on: 02/11/2017

I am delighted to present the top entries for the Black History Month Art Competition. The quality was extremely high in technical skill and selected content with some imaginative use of visual language. Fatma Omar’s tonal drawing captured the intense gaze of Maya Angelou whilst Naana Aboagye’s multimedia collage made inventive use of materials and imagery to create a lively and complex composition. Marianne Cole used complementary colour and dramatic lighting to create an atmospheric portrait of the American Artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Congratulations to the winners from each year group: Ganna Darwish 7A  Fatima Omar 8C  Naana Aboagye 9P and  Marianne Cole 10 H

Congratulations also to the following highly commended entries: Anita Nazari 9L  Kawthar Majed 8L Richelle Anokye 9L  Madina Malikzae and Majida Mohamed 8P
