National Theatre visit and Copthall School welcome BT - Careers 2017

Posted on: 17/07/2017

As part of the ESF funded Careers Cluster Program, a small group of year 10 students visited the National Theatre on Friday 7th July 2017. The girls took part in several workshops to build key employability skills which included preparing an industry direct CV, confidence and self-motivation building.

On the day, the students visited the National Theatre and the National Studio. The trip provided the students with the extraordinary opportunity to access behind the scene areas including a number of theatres, the box office, make- up, rehearsals, props and costume-making.

After lunch, students took part in a paper Costume Workshop where they had to design and create costumers on the Frankenstein theme. They had clear guidance from costume, props, carpenters, metalworkers, make-up artists and wig-makers professionals.

On Friday 14th July, British Telecommunications visited the group to help them present their experience of the programme and trip.

Well done girls.
