Our Sixth Form Centre is officially open!

Posted on: 14/07/2017

Trevor Phillips, writer and television producer officially opened the Sixth Form Centre at Copthall School on Tuesday 11th July 2017.

We were delighted and honoured to invite Mr Trevor Phillips to officially open our 6th form centre. The centre is designed to give students an additional space where they can engage with their fellow peers, study and it acts as a social hub where students will have access to our new Café facilities. The centre has also hosted a number of school events across the school.

He said to the pupils "Everyone has the chance to be a governor and everyone has a chance to succeed in life whatever your starting point or background. Sixth form is a crucial part of your education that shapes who you are as a person. It is where you make lifelong friendships. Everyone can excel at something; it’s about finding out what that is and going for it”.

The evening was attended by staff, students, governors and the opening was marked with an official cutting of the ribbon as pictured above.
