Dear Parents and Students,
We have developed a business plan to put forward for the Tycoons in Schools competition run by the Peter Jones Foundation. We are excited to announce that you are now able to place your orders for our merchandise on Parent Pay.
Our Vision is born out of recognition that the society in which we live does not treat all people equally and a determination to strive for racial equality. We were inspired by the energy of the BLM protests that resounded with such strength, hope and belief in June 2020 and want to play a part in harnessing the momentum of this significant moment for positive change.
Our Merchandise: Hoodies £20 Key chains £2.50
The stylish hoodies sport our brand’s Logo on the front which combines the strong fist associated with Black Lives Matter, and the red rose – an image of natural beauty but also a symbol of love. We have paired this with the words ‘One Earth, One Humanity, One Chance, One Love’ which conveys a hopeful and inclusive message that human beings really do need to make a change now. These words allude to other topical issues of the moment including the need to work together in the global pandemic and the climate emergency.
On the back of the hoodie is our slogan ‘Under our skin, we all bleed Red’ a more challenging direct message which is designed to grab attention and raise challenging questions.
Our key chains carry the same logo and slogan. These will be cheaper for anyone who doesn’t want to spend £20 on the hoodie but would still like to be involved in supporting us and sharing our message.
Our profit We will be donating 50% of our profit to The Black Curriculum to support the amazing work they do in broadening the curriculum and providing young people with a more diverse education and understanding of history.
