Copthall School Celebrates International Women's DayPosted on: 14/03/2017
Copthall School proudly celebrated International Women’s Day on Wednesday 8th March. Headteacher Evelyn Forde invited a number of inspirational women to share their successes with students and staff at school. The purpose of the event was to inspire our students and encourage them to embrace a positive attitude to succeed in life.
Our guests were high profile women from a range of industries including journalists, writers, solicitors, film makers, accountants, engineers, interior designers, fashion stylists and a sports woman from the National Under 21 Women’s Rugby team and many more.
Students led a ‘Speakers Corner’ event at lunchtime but throughout the day they were visited by our guests who spoke about their journeys to success.
One student commented “that was just amazing, I know what I want to do when I leave school and what I need to do to achieve my goals”
